Cat Love

The cat loves his kill,
walks around it in
circles, nuzzles it
softly, purrs
into its wounds,
wants to bring it inside
his soft belly.

.~~

Mouse

The mouse
collects footfalls
to make a nest,
gives birth
to a litter of winds.
